Day after day I am becoming more conscious about the feedback of my body towards certain patterns. I became much more sensitive about taste, choices of foods, overeating, and energy levels. I feel my mind became clearer. I spend minimum time to think about food and when I do, it takes me a moment to catch the flavor I crave for.

I feel like my friends started laughing more often. It seems to be so usual but the truth is it was not like this before. It is very important to notice these changes and note them at least in your mind.

There were also times when I overate because of anxiety, sometimes for the sake of taste, sometimes following the flow of the crowd, after having more than enough pumpkin seeds, trying to balance the taste and feeling or something else. The positive side of raw foodism is that you never feel too heavy for a long period of time or any time at all. At the same time overeating is a stress for your body at that particular moment which could be a healing effect if taken moderately.

I clearily felt that having too much food in the evening cause difficulty to wake up very early in the morning. Energy level is much lower than after having a light meal at night.

Also I realized that food is far not the only reason for the lack of vitality. When I sit in the office and have only couple of fruits (taking into consideration that tomatoes and cucumbers are also fruits) and some veggies, I often feel exausted at the end of the working hours. Mostly it happens when I non-stop sit in front of the computer or when atmosphere is tense.

Everyday is a new discovery for me. Every meal is an utter enjoyment. My rule of 7pm is still the biggest challenge but I’m heading towards it

Everyday I’m taking fruits and sometimes such veggies as cucumbers, tomatoes, and carrots to the office where I work. Today I had an excellent lunch: slice of mango, kiwi, banana, small peaches and tomato.

It is just so incredible how we actually effect people around. Since I started to bring fruits and veggies to the office, my colleague has changed her diet too without even noticing.

Sometimes I’m facing criticizing from some people but I realized that the most important is to ignore those who want to convince you in a contrary and have cinic attitude and jokes towards your choice BUT focus and share with those who are interested and want to learn how to live quality life.

I ended up having green smoothie and many oranges late in the evening. I felt heavy as citric acid + fats is a bad combination.

Next morning I woke up at 6am but didn’t want to get up as I still had that heaviness and discomfort in my stomach. I also noticed that such evening usually follows with sleepy mood the next day. It was quite challanging to sit at work in front of computer and struggling not to fall asleep. That’s when you really want to have a cup of nice smelling coffee…

One disbalance drags another one afterwards. Next day I well-behaved :p and enjoyed running in the evening, the following morning was so ENJOYFUL – light feeling and drive to accomplish something new.

Us, Happy and Smiley, decided to have a new rule – no food after 7pm. Our digestive system should have a rest!

Hello everyone!!!

I’m proud for going raw for 5 days already. Seems really short period of time but I couldn’t even imagine to have such a shift in thinking and feeling. My experience is probably completely different from my best friends as I was testing raw foodism for a month already with more or less of cooked vegan food.

I believe it is very important to explore the benefits of raw foodism and understand theoratically how this style of life is going to help you in one way or another before making it as a part of your life practically.

I actually expected to face difficulties at work with coffee cravings as it is an enjoyful way to relax from the continuous staring at the computer while working hours. I’m sure many people would agree with me at this point. And guess what?… I had those difficulties Especially the first day, the moment when we set the rules for ourselves I wanted to break them. But I pictured for myself the day when we celebrate our victory and ability to feel what raw foodists feel and experience in this journey. The next day in the morning I was so so proud of myself and felt much stronger towards upcoming cravings.

Every day I had different feelings and realizations. It is something which needs to be experienced and observed.

I paid attention to my hunger as it came at some particular moment and disappeared at the other one. Sometimes I felt weak but not hungry and then I knew I have to eat green smoothies to nourish myself with nutritions and energy at the same time. I noticed that after having more than enough sweet dried fruits like dates in the evening caused fatigue and sometimes even headache. Our system has to stop digesting food and have a rest at night. I knew it before and I confirmed it once again after listening Victoria Butenko’s lectures. At the same time, undereating caused lack of my energy too. The moment I balanced my food intake I felt full of energy and eagerness to learn and do different things.

I noticed that continuous exercises improved my overall feelings too. Now I feel my body so much while stretching and it brings me an ultimate pleasure. My sleeping has improved and I’m ready to wake up much earlier but still enjoy staying in bed till my alarm wakes me up :-p . I have to work on this!!!

Something very important has shifted for me: I used to have this wish to overeat though I have been eating very healthy food. I just had that feeling to have something I don’t know what and why. In 5 days going raw I noticed I became more relaxed about food and my hunger came when our digestive systems work the best – from 11am to 15pm. In the evening I felt very satisfied with the simpliest meal of some veggies or fruits. But I have to admit that I still have that association of having quite much food at night and I did have more than enough sometimes and still never felt that my heaviness last long as it used to be.

My previous experience with raw foodism made me quite ready for this trial and I became very sensitive about what I need at the moment. One day I just decided I want onion in the middle of my work – how strange is that? I came back home and enjoyed that onion so much that I expected to have the same feeling the next day … and never did It was just one particular day that I needed it.

I’ll be observing my feelings both positive and negative during the next days and I will be happy to share them with you.

Always passionate about fruits and vegetables, having noticed this fact since I was a kid my mom was trying to push me to have meat and chicken due to the fact that I was taking them out of my food, whether inside stews or rice. After years and years I finally got used to having them and not putting them aside. To make the story short, in my teen ages I started having fast food more and more (the PEAK, should be called) up until 3 years ago when I moved to another country where I got to know my friends, Smiley and Happy, the other one is my brother

This raw food diet is actually my birthday present to Happy!!! birthday gift? you are right, it sounds strange but it’s true. How come?!!! Evening before the birthday, Happy asked me if I’m ready to do something ,although she did not say what, I agreed on it due to knowing that she would never ask me to do something which is not beneficial for me. 15th of May at her birthday she told me the plan and we starteD.

Here we are: 4 best friends with various backgrounds but common drive for better life full of vital energy. Me myself (I will be called “Smiley” in this journey) and my friend Happy have always been passionate about health and inner growth. It is a continous exploration and learning how to improve and reach the state of feeling energetic and happy throughout the life. As we believe that we can live quality life not only in our 20s but also 40s, 50s, 60s and so on. This belief brought us to so much knowledge about different aspects of life which we share with you on our website, and raw foodism is one very important step towards it.

On one special day we decided to experiment and go raw for 30 days.

During this period of time we will write our feelings both positive and negative, new realizations and findings. Those interested in healthy living and raw foodism might find our experience interesting.

During 30 days we agreed to eat only RAW, which means veggies, fruits, nuts and seeds. Each of us has different background concerning style of living and eating habits. You might find your type in one of us:

Smiley: Has been mostly vegetarian with periodical changes for one year. Loved coffee with milk because of office work. Dairy products played a dominant role in a life. Kept exercising on a daily basis. Positive attitude to life with many goals to achieve. Always seeks knowledge about health and fitness. Always wanted to find a balance in her diet and never overeat which happened from time to time. Have to control herself with dates and nuts

Happy: Has changed her life dramatically in a sense of healthy living from being a meat lover to a vegetarian for two years and vegan for a year. Had periodical swings in overeating at one moment but continued with overall healthy living. Continuously improved eating habits. Enjoys smooth stretching and morning walks

It is a chance for each of us to achieve some of our aims in balancing and enriching our lives in one way or another.
